What is the minimum and maximum biogas plant capacity?
10 tons of silage or 20 tons of manure daily. If you have less then 10 tons of raw material your payback period will be more then 2 years. Biogas plants are recommended for big and middle size companies. For such companies payback period is about 1-2 year or less. Middle size biogas plants are plants with 20-100 tons of daily biomass loading. There are no maximum size biogas plant limitations. What are the terms?
From 5 to 6 months. Standard projects that are already operational available. While projecting only planning and adjustment are made. Equipment supplied as component assembly

What kind of raw materials biogas plant can use?
Not only manure can be recycled but also slaughterhouse wastes (blood, fat, entrails, ruminant content), plants, silage, rotten grain, sewage eater, fats, biowastes, food industry wastes, malt residue, marc, distillery slop, sugar beet pulp, technical glycerin (after biodiesel production), starch production wastes, brewrs’ grains, algae, energy crops, fruit and berry marc, potato peelings.

Is that possible to use municipal sewage water as raw material?
It is possible. Biogas yield is 30 m3 from 1 ton of separated wastes from flotation station. 

How much bio-fertilizers can be produced from 1 ton of substrate?
1 ton of raw material gives 850-950 kg of liquid bio-fertilizer. 

What are the waste products of biogas plant?
None. All the products produced by biogas plant are valuable. They are gas and bio-fertilizer. In case biogas is burned the only waste products are gas combustion materials.  

What to do with liquid bio-fertilizer in case they are not needed?
As an option biogas plant can be equipped with water treatment system that will be able to treat liquid bio-fertilizer up to the quality acceptable for discharge.

Is biogas plant dangerous? What distance to buildings and residential area from biogas plant should be?
Biogas plant makes environment better and is not dangerous. It can be placed near production facilities. As to power transmission lines and roads distance should be 30 m.  

Can we build biogas plants in other countries?
Yes we can. 

Can biogas plant work in extremely cold (warm) climate conditions? 
Equipment is fitted to climate conditions. Bioreactors have thermal insulation and are heated by heating (cooling) system. In cold winter biogas plant consumes up to 50% of produced heat power. But this power comes from generator cooling and of secondary nature.

What is the operational period of equipment?
Different biogas plant parts have different service lifetime. Bioreactors 20-30 years. Engines can have up to 20 years service time as well, but subject to overhaul maintenance each 5 years. The average biogas plant service lifetime is 12-15 years.  

What area biogas plant requires?
It depends on the plant capacity. Maximum bioreactor diameter is 24 m, and height 6-9 m. Passageways from each sides 5 m. Maximum bioreactor volume capacity is 80 tons and needs 40 x 70 m area. In case daily biogas plant loading 160 tons, two reactors will be needed.
