Latvia will mine the gas in Ukrainian style

SIA "EcoGamma" (Latvia) «ZORG Ukraine» Ltd. have commenced implementation of the project for gas production from corn silage in Latvia. Biogas plant capacity 2 mil. m3 per yea. This was announced on 05.06.2009

Under the contract conditions «ZORG Ukraine» Ltd. will perform project engineering works, equipment supply and start up services. SIA "EcoGamma" will be biogas plant owner. Construction works will be executed by Latvian subcontracting company

Row material for biogas plant is 60 tons per day of corn silage. The biogas will be used as fuel for co-generation plant that will produce 1 MWh electricity.

SIA "EcoGamma" was in the process of negotiations with several German companies, but has taken a decision to partner with «ZORG Ukraine» Ltd. The ground their choice by the fact that «ZORG Ukraine» Ltd. uses German technologies at almost twice lower prices.

Plant construction is to be completed by the end 2009 - beginning 2010. Under the contract conditions SIA "EcoGamma" will become exclusive representative of «ZORG Ukraine» Ltd. in Baltic countries. The biogas plant is only in project engineering stage but Latvian companies are started to make lots of inquires for other plants construction.
