Shevchenko farm will mine biogas.

On 12.03.2009 it was announced that agricultural company “Shevchenko” that is situated in Kopachevka village, Khmelnitzk region will build biogas plant. General engineering and equipment supply contractor is “Zorg Ukraine”.

This is not famous football player Adriy Shevchenko.  “Shevchenko” is also name of the cattle farm.

Agricaltural company has already paid first tranche for engineering works. Project supposes recycling of 50 tons of cattle manure per day. Biogas plant will completely cover farm’s gas and electricity demands.

Besides company will be provided with high quality organic fertilizers that will allow to increase grain crop yields and grain quality. This grain is supplied to famous brewery in Kiev. It is expected that organic fertilizer application will make grain quality higher and beer as well.  

Construction works will be implemented by the Shevchenko farm. Taking into consideration limited resources, construction works will be made upon funding availability step by step. Company is planning to start the plant in one two years. As company director Mr. Shapovalov announced “Natural gas price will be increased twice. Sooner or later we will need the funs any way. So it is better to start earlier when construction materials are not so expensive”
