Spiral heat exchanger

Spiral heat exchangers are used for substrate heating. It significantly reduces heat consumption (several times) compared with heating pipes on the walls of a biogas reactor. External heating, in addition to the actual heating function, also has the function of circulating and mixing the substrate in the stagnant zones of the biogas reactor. Spiral heat exchangers have a design feature: one spiral channel is twisted clockwise and the other counterclockwise. Thanks to this feature, the flow direction of the substrate does not change, which eliminates clogging of the heat exchanger.
