Ukraine starts process of joining Eurogas

Ukraine has started the process of joining the European gas industry association Eurogas, Ukraine's Mission to the European Union has told UKRINFORM. Ukrainian diplomats said that at a meeting held between Ukrainian Fuel and Energy Minister Yuriy Boiko and Eurogas Secretary General Jean-Marie Devos in Brussels on Thursday, the European side had proposed that national JSC Naftogaz of Ukraine become an associate member of Eurogas and had passed the respective statute documents. The Ukrainian side positively accepted the proposal. This, in fact, means the start of the process of Naftogaz's gaining associate membership of this organization. Eurogas is a non-profit association headquartered in Brussels. The organization is composed of 49 members from 27 European countries.
