Standalone Membrane Gasholders 100–4.000 m³ · H = 3/4D

A standalone gasholder provides a biogas buffer between production and consumption. It suits biogas plants, wastewater treatment works and industrial facilities. The catalogue design is a 3/4 sphere on a dedicated foundation. There are 25 capacities: 100–1.000 m³ in 100 m³ steps and 1.200–4.000 m³ in 200 m³ steps.

The inner gas membrane rises and falls as the stored volume changes. The reference materials are FPP or PE-LD; an approved reinforced polymer alternative can be specified. A gas-tight floor and protective underlay isolate the gas chamber from the base. The outer shell uses PVC-coated polyester fabric with UV protection. Support air maintains its shape and supports the weather envelope.

Materials are selected for moist biogas containing hydrogen sulphide. Resistance to H₂S, temperature and other constituents is checked for the selected membrane. Flexible membranes accommodate repeated filling and emptying. The outer membrane resists ultraviolet radiation and frost. The minimum permissible temperature depends on the material and specification; wind and snow loads require site-specific confirmation. Heating for the pressure protection equipment is included.

Design wind speed: 110 - 137 km/h. These values are for reference and do not automatically apply to the entire range. Selection takes into account site elevation, anchoring and membranes.

Stainless steel clamping profiles, anchors and seals fix the system to the foundation. Supply includes a duty blower and a spare blower, air pipes, flexible hoses, non-return valves and exhaust flaps. Safety devices protect against excess pressure and vacuum. Level measurement with a 4–20 mA output, pressure monitoring and methane leak detection provide operating feedback. A viewing window and service hatch provide inspection access.

The price also includes valves, condensate drainage components, flanges, fasteners, seals, sensor cables and connection materials within the gasholder supply boundary. Interfaces are agreed for the project. Reference operating pressure is approximately +2 to +3 mbar; other duties require a project design. Gas flow, safety device sizing, electrical supply and dimensions are confirmed during selection.

Prices cover the complete set of materials and equipment, excluding VAT. Foundation, delivery, installation, a control cabinet and power cables are not included.
