The proposed mineral additive is applied for rough ammonium binding. It consists of zeolite flour treated with a special technological process. The main area of application is ammonia problem solving in biogas plants working with protein-rich substrates like chicken dung.

Thanks to the enormous size of its inner surface, just 1 gram increases the area available for methane-forming microbes by up to 1.000 m². This surface provides an optimal primer for the ammonium sucking by the additive and biofilms forming. These offer ideal growth areas for the methane-forming microbes in a biogas fermenter.

The ammonia load within the fermenter decreases noticeably due to the increased metabolic activity, which is why the fermentation process stabilizes. In the case of ammonia pollution, the binder always leads to an increase in the biogas yield.

The additive ensures reduced ammonia emissions and less nitrogen loss when stored in the open and applied to agricultural areas, which saves mineral fertilizers. The fertilizer quality of the digestate is also improved by the high nitrogen availability for plants.

Standard dosage: 0,5 kg per ton of fresh substrate daily (chicken dung).
