Gas analyzer SSM 6000 Conti

Multi-channel measuring instrument with built-in gas processing. The gas analyzer can control up to eight measuring points and the analysis is carried out continuously. It features a data storage with a history function that records the specific time for all measured values.
The gas analyzer can be installed outdoors in a special housing as well as indoors. Measures the composition of the following gases: biogas, syngas, coal mine gas, landfill gas.

Due to the constant measurement of the biogas composition in the flow, gas sensors must be of a special design and withstand the aggressive environment exposure. The use of a gas analyzer is recommended at most biogas plants with frequently changed raw materials. Without exact knowledge of the biogas composition, a generator will not be able to determine the optimal composition of the fuel-air mixture.

Features

High quality measurement components and methods:

an infra-red measuring process is used to detect methane (CH₄) and carbon dioxide (CO₂) with high accuracy and selectivity. This process eliminates any dependencies that pressure and temperature could have on the measured values;

hydrogen sulphide (H₂S) and hydrogen (H₂) are detected by electrochemical sensors;

oxygen (O₂) is predominantly measured using electrochemical sensors. Paramagnetic measuring cells are used for special requirements – particularly in conjunction with upgrading biogas to biomethane so that it can be used to supply the public grid.

Excellent long-term stability during methane and carbon dioxide measurements ensured by special technology.
