Hammer mill 8 tonnes/hour

The hammer mill is used to mill, crush and mash straw, corn cobs, stover, husks, manure with straw and sawdust bedding, pressed sugar cane, vegetables, fuits, food waste, solid waste and other fibrous biomass. 

Depending on the size, required throughput and desired crushing ratio, the mill is equipped with motors ranging from 37 to 90 kW. The hammer mill has a large access hatch at the top to facilitate easy and quick maintenance or retooling.The machine is installed on vibration dampers to prevent the transmission of vibrations into the surrounding steel or concrete construction.Designed as a technically reliable solution, the mill has a recirculating oil lubrication unit. This system is also used for cooling the bearings.In order to prevent uncontrolled access via the maintenance hatch, the machine is equipped with a key transfer system. The power supply is interrupted and the machine can be opened only by means of a special key after the rotor has come to a standstill. The mill can optionally be equipped with a control system. In the case of frequently changing input materials, it makes sense to implement a frequency inverter. In combination with the variable rotor configuration options, this allows for optimal coordination of the desired targets in terms of crushing results, throughput rate and power consumption. As an option, customers can order a standardized steel structure for installation of the machine.

The central lubrication ensures that - during machine operation - all lubrication points are adequately supplied with grease.

Key transfer system
The safety system monitors the operator’s safety while the machine is working. The safety/security key cannot be removed until the machine is closed and secured in accordance with the built-in safety features.
The following functions are implemented:
•A special key is integrated into the control unit and can only be removed when the motor is switched off and the rotor of the machine has stopped
•The power supply to the machine is disconnected when removing the key
•A security/safety key allows for the machine to be opened
