Heat-to-power (ORC)
The Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) principle is used in heat-to-power solutions. Free heat is available, for example, from a compressor cooling, from exhaust gases and engine jacket cooling of gen sets, from biomass boilers, geothermal sources, or different industrial processes. ORC modules allow to increase electric power output in the range from 6 to 12%. There are water- and thermal oil-systems.
