Inclined mixers (agitators, stirrers) are used in biogas reactors with high solid levels that tend to form a crust. The agitator drive is mounted externally at the top of the tank wall. It is fixed either to the wall or supporting column. The shaft with paddles extends through the flange at an angle and is fixed on the base in the bottom of the reactor. Inclined mixers can be installed in reactors of all shapes and sizes, made of steel or concrete.
Inclined mixers BioFull 11 with a nominal power of 11 kW are used on biogas plants for mixing viscous fibrous substrates with a maximum dry matter content of up to 10 %. With a tilted agitator shaft and two propellers at different heights, the mixer provides 22600 m³/h of circulation flow. The propeller shape, large hub diameter, and smooth tangential transition to the propeller blade prevent material from wrapping around the blade. It has frequency inverter with parameterised safety software (torque limitation, open clutch detection, etc.)
