Enzymes ZplusL100

Adding the enzyme combination ZplusL100 specially developed for biogas operations provides the microorganisms with a continuous flow of hydrolysed polysaccharides (monosaccharides and oligosaccharides) which convert them into energy.

As a result, the microorganisms multiply more quickly, and the biological activity rises significantly. As well as polysaccharides, other higher-molecular substances are also increasingly converted to methane and carbon dioxide. The higher degradation rate has a number of effects; more biogas is produced and the viscosity of the contents in the fermenter is reduced. Peak loads can be accommodated in the plant due to the higher biological activity.

Using ZplusL100 in biogas plants is now based on a wealth of process data, a proven method for producing Biogas. ZplusL100 has been successfully used in biogas plants since 2005, making it the most tested enzyme product for biogas plants as well as having been on the market the longest.

Application

The addition of ZplusL100 to cellulose and hemi-cellulose containing organic materials in biogas fermenters makes the substrate more accessible for methane-gas-forming micro-organisms and will under anaerobic conditions result in an increased biogas output.

Additional effects of adding ZplusL100 are a reduced viscosity of the digester mass and a reduced floating layer. A typical ZplusL100 dosage level for continuous application is 100 – 250 grams/tonne dry organic substrate/day.
