Biogas plant laboratory

Having this laboratory your plant operator will able to carry out the following analyzes of incoming raw materials and digested substrates:

  • buffer capacity TAC,
  • volatile fat acids FOS,
  • dry matter (DM),
  • organic dry matter (ODM),
  • pH acidity level.

The FOS/TAC indicator is used to understand whether the feeding is sufficient or excessive.

According to DM and ODM, the biogas plant operator estimates energy potential of raw materials and the degree of decomposition, as well as accepts by quality raw materials, supplied by external suppliers.

pH is another indicator that signals about the reaction direction.

Without laboratory analyzes, a biogas plant will be start-up blindly. That usualy results in plant underfeeding, overfeeding and even stopping, sometimes with the need to empty and restart. The knowledge of the indicators helps to determine exactly the required dosage of raw materials, to optimize the speed of startup process of a biogas plant.

Using the lab is not that difficult. We will train your operators in a few-day training.
