Biogas plant at the village of Okny
The biogas plant started operation at Okny Ukraine. The raw material input is maize silage of 60 tonnes/day. The electric energy is supplied to the public grid under a "green" tariff at a rate of 0.143 EUR/kWh.
The plant produces 1.2 MW and is unique because it is the first running on 100% maize in the national market. The maize is grown specifically for biogas production.
