New 1MW biogas plant for a chicken farm

Zorg Biogas implements a new biogas plant for a chicken farm near Ternopil, Ukraine. The feedstock is chicken dung, pig slurry, abattoir waste and maize silage. Electric energy will be sold to the grid at green tariff 0,147 EUR / kWh.

By now, most of the equipment has already been delivered and installation is underway. The proven classical CSTR technology is used. Bolted reactor is made of glass-lined steel panels (GLS). Service life of such reactor is 25 years and more. Generator is Jenbacher model JMC320 with electric power 1 MW.
